HEPATITIS A

Complication
- The sudden, severe damage to liver tissue arise, leading to liver failure and death.

Cause
- Liver infection by the hepatitis A virus is released through the feces and urine of patients with hepatitis A. Viruses can also be found in the farmed oysters in the dirty water.

Prevention
- Immunizations terhadapa hepatitis A (Immunization is not going to protect against hepatitis B)
- Do not eat raw or undercooked shellfish.
- Patients with hepatitis A should selaluu wash hands thoroughly after completion of the WC / toilet and do not prepare food for the family as well as cooks in restaurants.

HEPATITIS B
Most people suffering from hepatitis B will recover completely and have lifelong immunity. But in some others fail to gain lifelong immunity and will continue to carry the hepatitis B virus in the blood. Those people are referred to as germ carrier (carrier). And they can be a source of infection. They also have a high risk of developing liver cancer 10-20 years later.

Complication
- Cirrhois liver (hardening of the liver)
- Liver cancer, occurs more frequently in men.

Cause
- Hepatitis B virus is usually transmitted through blood contact with an infected person or carrier. Blood contact can also occur in intercourse, sharing needles and pregnancy / childbirth in which a woman infected with the hepatitis virus can transmit the disease to her baby. About 90% of infected infants will be the carrier.

Prevention
- Immunization against hepatitis in newborn infants (which will not protect against hepatitis A). Children or adolescents who belumpernah immunized with hepatitis B should first consult their blood to see if without them knowing / had suffered from hepatitis B or not. If not, they should immediately get a hepatitis B immunization
- Avoid sexual intercourse with an infected person or carrier until you have been protected by immunization.
- Avoid the misuse of drugs and sharing needles.
- Avoid sharing toothbrushes or razors.
- If you want to acupuncture, tattooing, or ear hole, make sure that all equipment in germ-free state.
